Kim Ling is the place to go for grrrreat authentic delicious chinese food!

It is a mid-size cozy family restaurant, serves very fresh authentic chinese cuisine with amazingggg taste ummmm. I have had several small get-together dinners there (friends/family) with members varying between 4 to 10, and I have loved every single experience.

The Restaurant is in Chinatown so please do not expect a well-lit swanky avenue leading to the restaurant ... in fact be prepared to face a horrible traffic jam, thin roads and potholes, and if you are going there on a weekend evening, may God bless you while hunting for a parking space ... so reaching there is not a very pleasurable experience if you are driving yourself. That's not all, you might be greeted with a queue of people waiting for tables. (Well you can prevent this by booking a table early over phone)

But all this is more than compensated for, once you are inside and are offered the menu card. The waiters are courteous, helpful & informative. If you want to know details about a particular item in the menu, they are happy to help & explain in such delicious detail that your salivary glands will start aching from hyperactivity.

Then the food arrives. First let me tell you - I have not seen many restaurants in Kolkata where you get this QUANTITY & QUALITY for this price. Servings per dish is ample, quality & freshness is just heavenly. Price is moderate and I was never unhappy to pay the bill along with a generous tip to the waiter, every time I checked out. Oh yes, I forgot to mention about the very enthusiastic Valet Parking attendant who banged the car door on his own fingers but did not stop smiling as he bade a very energetic good night, still sweating from the pain.

In short - This is a place I would highly recommend to anybody, and would hope this restaurant keeps its hallmark of quality & value proposition intact as they grow.

This is one of the most popular and most famous tangra joints, and if you are anywhere near tangra and make a plan to have good chinese food in mind then go ahead for Kim Ling without thinking twice. I went there with my friends.  I was quite impressed to see the place. It is a cosy place with ample space. The ambience is really good and you will always get some good family crowd there.
 Waiters were decently dressed up. A waiter brought us the menu and we started with Chicken Mushroom Soup and Spring Chicken. These both items were up to the mark. Service was too quick there, as we ended up with starters, waiter was ready to take next order. For our next order, we ordered for mixed noodles with Kim Ling Special Chicken Shashlik, Chilli Garlic Crab, and Mandarin Fish. These dishes were very fresh, tender and succulent, melting divinely in our mouths.
I would recommend this place for dinner , since you can see decent crowd there. If you are going in large groups in the weekends, then do the reservation before itself. Else you might have to wait for around half an hour to get your place. Otherwise, reservation is not a big problem here.
